Pride Festival of Central PA Calls for volunteers

Pride Festival of Central PA is an all-volunteer endeavor – from top to bottom. This message is from Jeff Clouser, president, of the event.

Pride Parade and Festival Volunteers needed Thursday July 22nd – Sunday July 25th

I have listed below all the areas that we need volunteer help. Please let Diana Kuhns know if you or anyone you know would be interested in helping. Some perks for volunteering include free admission to the festival, a festival t-shirt (your size is needed) and possible lunch at festival.

Thursday July, 22nd: We are putting the poles and fence up.

Friday July 23rd: We will be setting up tables and chairs, identifying vendor locations, setting up the memorial garden, etc.

Saturday July 24th Parade: We need 15 people to volunteer for various duties.

Saturday July 24th Festival: We need about 30 people to work the two gates at 1 ½ hour shifts, we need 12 people to be checking trash, and we need 12 people to man the info booths at 1 ½ hour shifts.

Saturday July 24th Clean Up starting at 5PM: We need as many people as possible to help start the tear down. Gather tables and chairs and trash to South end. Tear down the memorial garden and load the Pride truck. Police the entire grounds for trash, etc.

Sunday morning July 25: Take down the fence and poles.
